Rotor geometries for permanent magnet synchronous motors.
The paper presents the results of the design of an internal permanent magnet synchronous motor for a high-speed test bench. The study focuses on finding a rotor geometry that, through the arrangement of permanent magnets within it, gives the motor the best performance at both rated speed and deflussing. The analysis of different rotor geometries was constrained to actual industrial feasibility.
